Modifying user account settings

If you have administrative privileges, you can modify user account settings by following these steps.

  1. Choose Administration > Manage Users & Groups from the GoFileRoom toolbar.
  2. In the Users tab, select the user account you want to modify from the Select User field.

    Notes

    • To view disabled users, clear the Active checkbox. Remember to tick it again to view your live users.
    • You can click the Change Login button to modify a user’s login. For example, if user Jane Doe’s name (and email address) changes to Jane Smith, you can change the login from jane.doe@company.com to jane.smith@company.com, instead of creating a new account.

If the user have multi-factor authentication enabled, the user must follow these steps prior to changing their login: 1) Click the user name in the upper-right corner of the screen. 2) Choose Preferences from the drop-down list, and then click the Remove Device button. After the user's login is changed, the application prompts them to set up multi-factor authentication the next time they log in to GoFileRoom.

  3. Make any necessary changes to the user account settings.
  4. Click Save.
