On January 14, 2020 Microsoft ended support for Windows 7. Because Thomson Reuters cannot support customers using our applications on unsupported operating systems, GoFileRoom is no longer supported on Windows 7. We strongly recommend that you upgrade your workstations to a supported operating system. For more information, see End of support for Windows 7.

General maintenance

With this release of GoFileRoom we have applied some general maintenance fixes in the background of the application. These changes do not affect the application's interface or general user experience.

Special information

We are excited to announce that the August 24th, 2020 release of GoFileRoom will include all of the enhancements that were previously made available on June 1st, 2020 via a temporary URL at https://bi.gofileroom.com. These enhancements include browser-independence, a new Home screen that provides a gateway to essential areas of the application, and a new Document Search screen that combines the existing Document Explorer and Index Search (Classic search) views in a single, modern page. These new features will be available from the primary URL at https://www.gofileroom.com.

To ensure you don’t experience loss of functionality, install the latest GoFileRoom Client Add-in (v.20.0.4) prior to the August 24th release date. Minimally, you must be using v.19.0.4 or higher. GoFileRoom supports only the current and one prior version of the Client Add-in. For details, see GoFileRoom Add-ins.

After the release, you’ll be able to log into GoFileRoom with the single https://www.gofileroom.com URL to work in the new browser-independent interface. If you happen to use the current browser-independent URL at https://bi.gofileroom.com, you'll be redirected to https://www.gofileroom.com. After a period of time, the https://bi.gofileroom.com URL will be removed.
