Writing terms and conditions text

Show expandable text

Through terms and conditions, your firm can display an agreement (or any other text) to all NetClient CS and Employee Self-Service users. These users cannot access their portals until they accept the terms and conditions.

When enabled, terms and conditions are an agreement between your firm and your NetClient CS and Employee Self-Service users who accept the terms and conditions. When you enable terms and conditions, you are acknowledging that you understand and accept that the terms and conditions you enter do not involve Thomson Reuters.

  1. In the Admin tab of the navigation pane, click the Terms and Conditions link in the Utilities section.

Note: If you don’t see this link, you don’t have access to this area.

  2. Enter or update the terms and conditions text.

Note: To start with sample text, click the View Sample Text link and then click the Copy to Editor button.

The sample terms and conditions are meant to be used as an example or as a starting point. If your firm uses the sample text, we strongly recommend that you modify the text to meet your firm’s unique needs. Thomson Reuters is not liable for any losses or damages that result from the use of the sample text.

  3. Do one of the following.
    • Click the Save Draft button to save your changes.

Note: Until you publish the new or updated terms and conditions, the words "Saved Draft" will appear above the text area.

    • Click the Publish button to publish the new or updated terms and conditions.

If you publish the terms and conditions, all NetClient CS and Employee Self-Service users must accept the terms and conditions the next time they log in to their portals.
