Prompted to Save the file (Save as …) when launching any Virtual Office CS application

When trying to launch an application (usually CBS ASP), you may be forced to do a save as, but then can launch the ICA file from your desktop. Microsoft Edge has a security option that must be disabled to resolve this behavior.

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.
  2. Choose Tools > Internet Options.
  3. In the Advanced tab, scroll to the Security section.
  4. Clear the Do not save encrypted pages to disk checkbox, and click OK.

Note: You may need to restart Microsoft Edge before the change takes effect.

If the above steps do not work, make sure that Citrix is set as the default to open .ICA files, see Associating the ICA file type with Virtual Office CS or SaaS applications. You may also want to uninstall and reinstall Citrix.
