Checkpoint Tools applications contain links to PPC reference materials. If you have a valid Reference Library or Checkpoint subscription, clicking a reference link opens the related reference material.
The first time you select one of these links, you will be prompted to choose where you want the content to come from - the Reference Library, Checkpoint, or None.
Click the appropriate link to learn about each source.
If you choose Reference Library, you will receive the "Unlicensed Resource" message until you enter your master password. To enter your master password, follow these steps.
- In Reference Library, choose Security Settings from the Edit menu.
- Enter your master password in the field provided. Your master password should be included on your PPC invoice. If you cannot locate your master password, contact PPC Technical Support at 1-800-431-9025.
- Click OK and close the dialog.
- Return to the Checkpoint Tools document and click the desired link. The Reference Library displays the referenced content.
Note: Access to older versions of Reference Library content is not available in the Virtual Office CS or SaaS environment. You must access older content from a local installation.
If you choose Checkpoint, you will be prompted to enter your Checkpoint user ID and password in the login dialog. Once you log in to Checkpoint, the referenced content will display in your browser window.
Note: Checkpoint Tools content released prior to April 2005 does not have Checkpoint-enabled links. To launch the Reference Library for Checkpoint Tools content released prior to April 2005, click the checkbox to use Reference Library as backup.
If you choose None, the content links selected in your Checkpoint Tools documents will not link out to reference materials, and you will not be prompted to set a preferred location again.
Once you make a selection in the Set Location of Reference Materials dialog, you will not be prompted again. To change the source location for your reference materials, choose Tools > Options > Set Location from the Checkpoint Tools application menu, or choose PPC > Content Settings when in a Microsoft Word or Excel document.
