Creating custom layouts for reports

  1. Choose Reports > Report Layouts to open the Layout Designer dialog.

    Note: You can also create custom report layouts just prior to printing reports. To do this, choose File > Print Reports and click the Layouts button.

  2. Click the Add button and enter a name for the new layout in the Name field below the list of layouts.
  3. Click any of the tabs in this dialog and specify the options you want to include in your reports for this layout.

  4. If desired, click the Preview button at any time to view the report layout in a separate Preview Layout window.
  5. When you are finished designing the report layout, click the Enter button in the Layout Designer dialog to save the changes. The new report layout will be added to the list.
  6. Click the Close button to close the Layout Designer dialog.
  7. To print a report using the new layout, choose File > Print Reports. In the Print Reports dialog, select the new report layout from the Report layout drop-down list.
