Difference Analysis dialog

Use the Difference Analysis dialog to select any two columns in a plan and display them side-by-side, along with a third column showing the difference between the selected columns for each row in the plan.

To open this dialog, choose View > Difference Analysis.

Note: In a TCJA Comparison Plan, the Difference Analysis column displays by default. You can choose View > Difference Analysis to hide this column.

Using Difference Analysis mode

Fields & buttons

Select the first column to compare by choosing the appropriate alternative and year from the drop-down lists attached to these fields.

Select the second column to compare by choosing the appropriate alternative and year from the drop-down lists attached to these fields.

Select the Amount or Percent option to view the change in values by their amount or percentage.

When you select the Amount option, the difference column is calculated as: Difference = (column 2 - column 1)

When you select the Percent option, the difference column is calculated as: Difference = [(column 2 - column 1) / absolute value of column 1] x 100
