Adding ACH or credit card information to clients

If you process ACH and credit card payments for clients using Kotapay, you may want to add account information for them before you start processing. Note that this isn't required; you can always add accounts on the fly the first time you process an electronic payment for a client. 

Either way, you need to have your firm set up for processing with Kotapay first. If you haven't done that, start with Credit card and ACH processing in Practice CS.

To set up clients before processing

You can only add credit card and ACH accounts for existing clients. If you want to do this for a new client, enter the rest of the client information first, then click the Enter button. Then you can follow these steps.

  1. Choose Setup > Clients and find the client.
  2. Click the Edit button.
  3. Click the Billing and A/R tab.
  4. Click the Manage Client Accounts link.
  5. Log into your CS Payment Account.
  6. To add a credit card for a client, click the Credit Cards tab and then click the Add Card button. Enter the credit card information and click Save.
  7. To add a bank account for a client, click the Bank Accounts tab and then click the Add Account button. Enter the bank account information and click Save.
  8. Click Sign Out before closing the CS Payment window to exit securely.

To edit or delete client accounts

  1. Choose Setup > Clients and find the client.
  2. Click the Edit button.
  3. Click the Billing and A/R tab.
  4. Click the Manage Client Accounts link.
  5. Log into your CS Payment Account.
  6. To edit or delete a credit card for a client, click the Credit Cards tab. Highlight the card in the list, then click the Edit Account or Delete Account button. and then click the Add Card button.
  7. To edit or delete a bank account for a client, click the Bank Accounts tab. Highlight the card in the list, then click the Edit Account or Delete Account button. and then click the Add Card button.
  8. Click Sign Out before closing the CS Payment window to exit securely.
