MFA required for electronic filing

Effective May 3rd, the 2017 version of UltraTax CS requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) to transmit e-files from CS Connect. Find out more.

Filing instructions should print with extensions. If the extension prints without filing instructions, verify that you have not suppressed client documents from printing, and check your return collation print condition settings for extension filing instructions.

To verify that client documents are not being suppressed from printing, do the following.

  1. Choose File > Print Extensions.
  2. Click the Options button.
  3. Verify that Suppress client documents is not selected.

To verify that the filing instructions have not been suppressed in the return collation print conditions, do the following.

  1. Choose Setup > 5500 Benefit Plans > Tax Return.
  2. Enter Extension filing instructions in the Find what field, and click Find.
  3. Select Extension Filing Instructions from the list, and review the option selected in the Print conditions group box.
  4. Click the Client and Preparer tabs to review your print conditions for those collations.

Note: By default, As required is selected for the Government collation. If you proforma’d your print collations from the prior year, UltraTax CS may have overwritten the default settings.
