MFA required for electronic filing

Effective May 3rd, the 2017 version of UltraTax CS requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) to transmit e-files from CS Connect. Find out more.

Use the state tabs at the bottom of the Apportionment Information window to enter state-specific apportionment information. State tabs appear only if you have added states to the return and if additional apportionment information is required.

To enter state-specific apportionment information, click the appropriate state tab at the bottom of the Apportionment Information window.

Special information for processing Kansas returns

UltraTax CS provides predefined statement dialogs for factor components requiring detail information. UltraTax CS uses the information you enter in the statement dialogs in the Everywhere column on the form for that component. UltraTax CS ignores amounts from the Everywhere / (Override) column for that component.

Fields & buttons

General information group box

UltraTax CS uses the information you enter in this group box to complete form fields and answer questions that are not addressed in the Apportionment spreadsheet.

Mark this checkbox for taxpayers in qualified distressed areas. UltraTax CS then calculates the apportionment using only the sales factor.

Mark this checkbox to use the qualified elective two-factor apportionment method to calculate apportionment. UltraTax CS then calculates the apportionment using only the property and sales factors.

UltraTax CS transfers the information you enter in this field to year qualified on Forms K-120 and K-120S.

Click this button to open the Additional Information dialog.

Use these fields to complete allocation for telecommunications companies using the available carrying capacity of wire and fiber optic cable.

Use these fields to complete allocation for investment funds service corporations using shares owned by the company's fund shareholders.

Enter Kansas income calculated using the Alternate Accounting Method or the Separate Accounting Method. Entries in this field are transferred to Form K-120S, Page 1, line 19 or Form K-120, Page 1, line 21.
