MFA required for electronic filing

Effective May 3rd, the 2017 version of UltraTax CS requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) to transmit e-files from CS Connect. Find out more.

To print or electronically file a consolidated C Corporation extension, follow the procedure below.

  1. Open the consolidated return.
  2. Verify that all diagnostic messages related to demographic information or to the extension have been addressed and cleared.

Note: To view the diagnostics, press CTRL+D.

  3. Choose File > Print Extensions, and mark the Create electronic file checkbox.
  4. Click E-File.

Notes

  • When you process a consolidated C Corporation extension, you do not need to select the member clients' returns via File > Print Extensions as you would for a consolidated return. Instead, after you complete data entry for each member, open the consolidated return and follow the steps outlined above.
  • Consolidated C Corporation clients file a Consolidated Group Statement Worksheet with the extension, which contains all members of the consolidated return. See Adding an 1120 consolidated return for more information about generating a consolidated return.
