MFA required for electronic filing

Effective May 3rd, the 2017 version of UltraTax CS requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) to transmit e-files from CS Connect. Find out more.

Use the following steps to include the extension filing instructions for UltraTax/990 in the print collation.

  1. Review your print collation settings for the extension filing instructions by choosing Setup > 990 Exempt Organizations > Federal.
  2. Click the Tax Return button in the Collation group box.
  3. Enter Extension filing instructions in the Find what field and click the Find button.
  4. Highlight Extension Filing Instructions (990/EZ/PF) in the Return items list and review the options selected in the Print conditions and When filing electronically group boxes. Follow the same steps for the Extension Filing Instructions (990-T) and Extension Filing Instructions (4720) in the Return items list.

Note: By default, As required and Print on paper are selected for the Government collation. If you proforma’d your print collations from the prior year or if you have selected not to print client documents as an option when printing the extension, UltraTax CS may have overwritten the default settings.

  5. Click OK to save your changes.
  6. Click OK to close the 990 Product Information dialog.
