IRS filing deadline update

The IRS MeF system is now processing returns, and the filing deadline has been extended to 11:59 PM on Wednesday, April 18, 2018. For the latest details, see UltraTax CS alerts and notices.

Follow this procedure to enter unrelated business income and expense for other revenue activities.

  1. Open the desired client (File > Open).
  2. Click the Income & Deductions folder in the folders block.
  3. For client entity type 990E (exempt organization): Click the Income tab, and then press PAGE DOWN to move the cursor to the Analysis of Income Producing Activities section.

For client entity type 990PF (private foundation): Click the IncomePF tab, and then press PAGE DOWN to move the cursor to the Part XVI-A - Analysis of Income Producing Activities section.

  4. Position the cursor in the desired income-producing activity field. In this example, use the Program service revenue field. Press CTRL+E to open the statement dialog, and then enter the description, amount, and an unrelated business code.

Other revenue activity information appears only on the 990-T return as other revenue if you do not enter an unrelated business code in the appropriate statement dialog.
