Question

How do I allocate state tax withheld to the beneficiary?

Answer

Only some states allow the allocation of withholding to the beneficiary; you should refer to the form instructions for that state. If the state permits allocation, the withholding allocates based on the method indicated at the federal level on Screen Allocate (equal) or in the View > Beneficiary Information > Federal tab > Other Allocations group box (percent).
