MFA required for electronic filing

Effective May 3rd, the 2017 version of UltraTax CS requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) to access the electronic filing transmission feature in CS Connect.

You can prevent the organizer engagement letter from printing on a client-by-client basis, or you can disable it for all clients at once.

Preventing the engagement letter from printing for the open client

  1. With the client's return open in UltraTax CS, choose File > Print Organizers.
  2. Click Options and clear the Engagement Letter checkbox.
  3. Click OK to return to the Print Organizers dialog. Now when you print the organizer, the Engagement Letter will not print for this particular client.

Preventing the engagement letter from printing for all clients

  1. Choose Setup > 1040 Individual > Organizer.
  2. Clear the Print Individual Engagement Letter checkbox, and then click OK. The Engagement Letter will no longer print for any UltraTax/1040 Client Organizer clients. 

Note: This setting will automatically proforma into next year's version of UltraTax CS, so the checkbox will remain cleared in the following year.
