Complete these steps to set the organizer print collation for all 1040 clients.

Changing the print collation for Client Organizer also affects the Email and Web Client Organizers and vice versa. It is important to review the print collation before processing each type of organizer.

  1. Choose Setup > 1040 Individual.

    Note: Depending on your security configuration, you might be prompted to enter the master password. Click OK to continue.

  2. Click the Organizer tab.
  3. Click the Organizer button in the Collation group box to open the Return Collation dialog.
  4. By default, each organizer page is marked to print or to be included in the electronic organizer only if it contains data.

    To force an organizer page to always print, highlight the page in the list, and then click the Always option in the Print Conditions group box.

    To prevent an organizer page from ever printing, highlight the page in the list, and then click the Never option in the Print Conditions group box.

    Note: When you set the print condition to Always for the Income Summary or the Interest/Dividend Summary report (via the Organizer Return Collation dialog) but leave the applicable checkboxes blank on the Setup > 1040 Individual > Organizer tab, the related summary reports are blank when printed.

  5. If necessary, mark or clear the Include in Electronic Org checkbox to include or exclude the selected page from the electronic organizer package for all clients.
  6. To include the highlighted item (such as the Engagement Letter, or forms that require a client signature, such as the Consent to Disclose or Consent to Use) in a second PDF attachment when the client organizer is delivered via email, electronic file, or NetClient CS portal, mark the Action Items PDF checkbox. Note that this attachment is only created for electronic organizers.
  7. If necessary, mark or clear the Include in blank Organizer checkbox to include or exclude the selected page for clients that you mark in the Print Blank Client Organizer field in Screen Contact in the General folder.
  8. Click OK.

Tip: If the client is new, the only organizer pages that print or are included in the electronic organizer are the ones in which you enter data and the ones that you have selected to always print for all clients, unless you override the print collation for the client, or you mark the Print Blank Client Organizer field in Screen Contact.
