Change to CS Support service hours

Our Support department is closed on [[date]]. However, limited UltraTax CS phone support is available on that date from 9 AM - 5 PM ET due to the approaching deadline.

Links to our most popular tax processing topics are available in the Alerts and notices section on the right side of most pages.

The web organizer questionnaire helps you collect specific client data that might affect the client's tax return, such as whether the client has married or has had a baby. You might want to customize the web organizer questionnaire to incorporate specific questions directed toward a particular type of client. You can also create additional questionnaires based on the standard questionnaire.

Notes

  • Each default questionnaire is available in English or Spanish. To print a Spanish questionnaire, mark the Spanish client documents (Cover letter, engagement letter, greetings, questionnaire, custom paragraphs) checkbox on Screen Letter in the Organizer General folder.
  • If you previously modified the CS Default web organizer questionnaire, your modifications also appear in new questionnaires that are based on the CS Default questionnaire. You can add, delete, or modify questions as necessary.
  • Before transmitting web organizers to your clients, you can set the desired options for all web organizers using the NetClient Organizer Options dialog.

Creating new web organizer questionnaires

To create additional web organizer questionnaires, complete these steps. New questionnaires are based on the CS Default web organizer questionnaire. If you previously modified the standard questionnaire, your modifications also appear in the new questionnaire. You can add, edit, or delete questions as necessary, and can modify the order in which the questions appear. You can create up to eight custom web organizer questionnaires.

To include a new questionnaire with a client's web organizer (in place of the CS Default questionnaire), open the organizer Screen Letter in the General folder and choose the desired questionnaire from the Select the client web organizer questionnaire version for this client drop-down list.

  1. Choose Setup > 1040 Individual and click the Organizer tab.

Note: Depending on your security configuration, you might be prompted to enter the master password to access the federal setup tabs.

  2. Click the Questionnaire button in the NetClient group box.
  3. In the Open Web Organizer Questionnaire dialog, highlight the questionnaire on which the new questionnaire will be based, then click OK.
  4. In the Web Organizer Questionnaire dialog, Choose Document > New.
  5. Enter the name of the new questionnaire in the Name of new questionnaire field.
  6. Click either CS Default - English or CS Default - Spanish to determine the language for the new questionnaire.
  7. Click OK to return to the Web Organizer Questionnaire window. The name of the new questionnaire is displayed in the Questionnaire Name field and the default questions are listed.
  8. Edit the content of the questionnaire using the fields provided. Use the Type column to specify the format of each new text line. You can choose Instructional Text, Section Heading, Yes/No Question, or Text Question.
  9. Save your changes by choosing Document > Save.
  10. Choose Document > Exit or click OK to close the Web Organizer Questionnaire dialog.
