MFA required for electronic filing

How do I prepare Form 8865 and related schedules?


Follow these steps to prepare Form 8865 and related schedules.

  1. Choose File > Client Properties with a 1065 client open.
  2. From the 1065 field drop-down list, select Foreign Ptnrshp (8865).

You can change a return from partnership to foreign partnership and back again without losing any previously entered data. Generally, you can use the same screens for both types of partnership returns, except that you also enter data in Screens Filer, 8865, 8865-2, and 8865-3 for Form 8865. Screens Filer, 8865, 8865-2, and 8865-3 are not available for the regular partnership or electing large partnership returns.
