MFA required for electronic filing

Effective May 3rd, the 2017 version of UltraTax CS requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) to access the electronic filing transmission feature in CS Connect.

Thomson Reuters is committed to proactively evolving our security features to help you protect your firm and your clients' data. For more information about multi-factor authentication, see Multi-factor authentication overview.

  1. From the File menu, choose Rename.
  2. In the Rename Client dialog, highlight the client whose ID you want to rename.

Note: To quickly find a client, enter the first few characters of the client's ID in the search box above the list, or click the word Name in the title bar of the list and enter the first few characters of the client's name.

  3. Click the Rename button.
  4. In the Rename dialog, enter the new client ID.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Click Close.

Tips

  • Click the word Client ID, Name, or Entity in the title bar of the list to sort the client listing by that characteristic.
  • Use the Focus group box at the bottom of this dialog to limit the clients who appear in the client listing by entity type and/or preparer/reviewer/staff.
  • If you have transmitted an electronic return for a client, you cannot rename the client's ID until you have received all of the acknowledgments.
