MFA required for electronic filing

Effective May 3rd, the 2017 version of UltraTax CS requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) to access the electronic filing transmission feature in CS Connect.

Thomson Reuters is committed to proactively evolving our security features to help you protect your firm and your clients' data. For more information about multi-factor authentication, see Multi-factor authentication overview.

The default communication settings are correct for most connection types; however, if you connect to our secure data centers using a dial-up internet service or a proxy server, please review the communication settings.

  1. Choose Setup > User Preferences, and then click the Misc tab.
  2. Click the Modify button.
  3. In the CS Connect - Communications Setup dialog, configure the various communication settings for the computer so that you can connect to our secure data centers.
  4. Test your connection. If any of the tests fail, all related connectivity problems must be resolved on the computer, network, or with your internet service provider before CS Connect will function correctly.
