MFA required for electronic filing

Effective May 3rd, the 2017 version of UltraTax CS requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) to access the electronic filing transmission feature in CS Connect.

Thomson Reuters is committed to proactively evolving our security features to help you protect your firm and your clients' data. For more information about multi-factor authentication, see Multi-factor authentication overview.

The following examples of data sharing are meant to illustrate some of the common ways in which you can share general and K1 financial data.

The preparer should diligently review all data that is shared among clients.

General data sharing examples

Shared general data includes items such as a client's name, address, telephone number, TIN / SSN / EIN, and so on. General data can be shared among all UltraTax CS clients.

Financial data sharing examples

Shared financial data includes most fields in the federal K1 input screens. Financial data can be shared among 1040, 1120, 1065, and 1041 clients.
