MFA required for electronic filing

Effective May 3rd, the 2017 version of UltraTax CS requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) to access the electronic filing transmission feature in CS Connect.

Use this dialog to view additional electronic filing status details (including the relevant reject codes / business rules) and common 1040 electronic filing errors on the IRS website for a client in the status list in the Electronic Filing Status dialog.

To open this dialog, click the Electronic Filing Status button, and click the Details Details button button in the Status column, or click the plus sign next to a client in the status list in the Electronic Filing Status dialog, and then click the Details button in the Comment column.

Note: The Details button is available only if additional electronic filing status details are available for a client.

Fields & buttons

This field lists the name of the client based on the client identification number entered in UltraTax CS.

This field lists the type of return you select in the Return column in the status list.

This field displays error rejections issued by the taxing agency or CS Connect.

Click this button to open a Notepad document that lists the client's name and tax authority information. You can copy and paste the details from the Details field into the Notepad document and then save the information to a location you choose.

Click this button to copy the details from the Details field to your computer's clipboard. Once you copy the details to your clipboard, you can paste the information into a document and then save the document to a location you choose.
