Error Code F8863-528-03: Each Student SSN that has a value on Form 8863, Line 21 must not be the same as that in another Form 8863 for the same tax year.

The student's SSN has already been claimed for the Form 8863 credit on another tax return; therefore, they cannot be claimed again for the same credit. In this situation, verify that the correct SSN has been entered on Screen Educate, located under the Educate folder. If the SSN is incorrect, you can enter the correct one and then recreate and resubmit the electronic file.  If the SSN is indeed correct, you will need to contact the IRS and paper file the return.  Refer to Form 8948 - Paper Filing Exceptions.
