MFA required for electronic filing

Effective May 3rd, the 2017 version of UltraTax CS requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) to access the electronic filing transmission feature in CS Connect.

Error Code F1040EZ-513: If Form 1040EZ, Line 5 checkbox 'SpouseClaimAsDependentInd' is not checked, then 'SpouseSSN' in the Return Header must not be equal to a 'SpouseSSN' on another tax return. (Note: The rule text will be updated).

This error is generated because the SSN used for the spouse has already been used for a spouse on another return. Verify on Screen 1040, located under the General folder, that the spouse's SSN is correct. If it is correct, you will need to contact the IRS at 866.255.0654 to inquire about the SSN in question and procedures for paper filing. If the SSN is incorrect, correct it and then re-create and resubmit the e-file.
