MFA required for electronic filing

Effective May 3rd, the 2017 version of UltraTax CS requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) to access the electronic filing transmission feature in CS Connect.

Thomson Reuters is committed to proactively evolving our security features to help you protect your firm and your clients' data. For more information about multi-factor authentication, see Multi-factor authentication overview.

Error Code FW2-502:  Form W-2, Line B 'EmployerEIN' must match data in the eFile database.

You'll want to verify the EIN entered on Screen W2, located under the Income folder, has been entered correctly.  Note that you may have more than one W2 to review.  If an EIN needs to be corrected, enter the new EIN and then you can recreate and resubmit the electronic file.  If the EIN has been correctly entered, then you'll need to file the return on paper as the EIN does not match what the IRS has on file.  If filing the return on paper, refer to 1040 - US ELF:  Form 8948 - Paper Filing Exceptions.  You can contact the issuer of the W2 as well.
