MFA required for electronic filing

Effective May 3rd, the 2017 version of UltraTax CS requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) to access the electronic filing transmission feature in CS Connect.

Thomson Reuters is committed to proactively evolving our security features to help you protect your firm and your clients' data. For more information about multi-factor authentication, see Multi-factor authentication overview.

Error Code R0000-123-01:  If 'NameLine1Txt' in the Return Header contains an ampersand, then 'SpouseSSN' in the Return Header must have a value.

Error checking is looking for a spouse's SSN. If the spouse does not have an SSN, then you will need to remove the spouse from Screen 1040, located under the General folder, in order to electronically file the extension.  Once the spouse information has been removed, re-create the electronic extension and resubmit. IRS electronic filing does not accept SSN literals, such as "Applied For," entered in Screen 1040.
