MFA required for electronic filing

Effective May 3rd, the 2017 version of UltraTax CS requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) to transmit e-files from CS Connect. Find out more.

If the Federal e-file is not being created and is not listed in CS Connect for transmission, access Screen ELF, located under the Electronic Filing folder. Most likely the Federal return has been suppressed by marking the Suppress creation of: Federal electronic file when only filing a state return/extension electronically checkbox. If it is marked, unmark the checkbox and then re-create the e-file.

Additional Note: If the box is marked Taxpayer(s) choose(s) to file the federal return on paper in the Form 8948 - Paper Filing Exceptions area of screen ELF, you will receive an error that there are no electronic files to error check and the file will not be created.
