Error Code F1120S-239-01: Filer's TIN and Name Control in the Return Header must match data in the e-File database unless Form 1120S, Item H (2), checkbox "Name Change" is checked.
To resolve this error, verify the following:
- Check the Name control field on Screen ELF, located under the Electronic Filing folder.
- If the Name control is forced on Screen ELF, verify in Publication 4163 that the name control is correct.
- Verify the correct EIN has been entered under File > Client Properties.
If the name control is not being forced and the Employer Identification Number (EIN) is correct, call the IRS Help Desk at (866) 255-0654 and have them verify the client's EIN.
