MFA required for electronic filing

Effective May 3rd, the 2017 version of UltraTax CS requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) to access the electronic filing transmission feature in CS Connect.

Error Code I-104: The Plan Sponsor must be present unless the Administrator signature present, is received.

Error Code P-227: The Plan Administrator's USERID and PIN must be present and valid is received.

These error codes will be triggered when a signer did not complete the application process completely. Follow the instructions below for registration.

  1. Access www.Efast.dol.gov.

  2. Select the Login button located on the left side.

  3. Enter the User ID.

  4. Click the Forgot Password link below that.

  5. Answer the secret question.

  6. Enter a password and confirm the password and click OK or Finish. The Password has to be at least 10 characters long and at least 1 number and 1 letter.

  7. Next, re-create and transmit the electronic file and have the client sign again.
