MFA required for electronic filing

Effective May 3rd, the 2017 version of UltraTax CS requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) to access the electronic filing transmission feature in CS Connect.

Thomson Reuters is committed to proactively evolving our security features to help you protect your firm and your clients' data. For more information about multi-factor authentication, see Multi-factor authentication overview.

Error code F990PF-053-01: If the timestamp in the GTX key is after the due date of the return (four and one half months after the 'TaxPeriodEndDt' in the Return Header), then the 'RequestedPaymentDt' in the "IRS Payment" [IRS Payment] must not be later than the date the return was received and must not be prior to five days before the date the return was received by the IRS.

This rejection occurs when filing a return after the original due date and the electronic funds withdrawal (direct debit) date is a future date. If filing the 990-PF after the original due date, the electronic funds withdrawal date must be the same date the return is being e-filed. To fix this rejection, review Requested payment date on Screen ELF under the Electronic Filing folder, and update the date to the same date the return is being filed.
