When printing 1120S, 1065, 1041, or 5500 returns you can customize the print collation for the shareholder, partner, beneficiary, or participant just as you would customize the collation for the return itself. You can even set different government, client, and preparer collations.

  1. From the Setup menu, choose 1120 Corporation, 1065 Partnership, 1041 Fiduciary, or 550 Benefit Plans.

Note: Depending on your security configuration, you might be required to enter the master password and click OK before you can proceed.

  2. Click the desired federal or state tab.
  3. Click the Tax Return button.
  4. In the Focus group box, click the Shareholder Package, the Partner Package, Bene Package or Participant Package option.
  5. Click the Government, Client, or Preparer tab, depending on which collation you want to edit.
  6. By default, each form is marked to print if required. To exclude an item from ever printing, highlight the item in the list, then click the Never option in the Print conditions group box.
  7. The items are listed in the order that they will print. To change the print order, highlight an item in the list, then click the Move Up or Move Down button to move the item up or down in the list.
  8. Click OK.

Tips

  • To return to the application default for print conditions and print order, click the Restore Default button.
  • If you print tax returns for one client at a time, you can override the print collation on a client-by-client basis. To do so, choose File > Print Returns, and click the Options button.
