You can send a shareholder, partner, or beneficiary package to the 1040 recipient's drawer in FileCabinet CS.

To ensure that the package is sent to the 1040 recipient's drawer, verify the following:

To send a package to FileCabinet CS, complete the following steps.

  1. Choose Setup > [Entity] > Federal tab.
  2. Click the Tax return button.
  3. Click the Preparer tab and verify that the print condition for Shareholder package, Partner package, or Beneficiary package  is set to print As required. Show me.
  4. Click OK twice.
  5. Choose Setup > Office Configuration.
  6. Click the FileCabinet CS tab and verify that the Print K1 packages to FileCabinet CS drawer if the K1 recipient is also an UltraTax CS client checkbox is marked.
  7. Click Done.
  8. Choose File > Open Client to open the desired client's return.
  9. Chose File > Print Returns. 
  10. Select the appropriate data location from the FileCabinet CS drop-down list in the Print destinations group box.
  11. Click the Options button, and then click the Selected Pages tab to choose to send only the package to FileCabinet CS. Show me.
  12. Click OK.
  13. Mark the Preparer copy checkbox, clear the Paper and PDF to file checkboxes (if marked), and mark the corresponding FileCabinet CS checkbox.
  14. Click the To Cabinet button.

    Note: If you select an additional copy of the return, the To Cabinet button will change to Print.

  15. Click OK in the FileCabinet CS Documents dialog to send the selected files to FileCabinet CS.

Note: If a taxpayer and spouse are both shareholders, partners, or beneficiaries of the same return and they exist as a married filing joint return in UltraTax CS, their packages will be sent to FileCabinet CS as a single document.
