MFA required for electronic filing

Effective May 3rd, the 2017 version of UltraTax CS requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) to access the electronic filing transmission feature in CS Connect.

Thomson Reuters is committed to proactively evolving our security features to help you protect your firm and your clients' data. For more information about multi-factor authentication, see Multi-factor authentication overview.

To include the 706 extension filing instructions in the print collation, complete the following steps.

  1. Review your print collation settings for the extension filing instructions by choosing Setup > 706 Estate Tax > Federal, and clicking the Tax Return button in the Collation group box.
  2. Enter Extension filing instructions in the Find what field, click the Find button.
  3. Highlight Extension Filing Instructions in the Return items list, and review the options selected in the Print conditions and When filing electronically group boxes.

Note: By default, the As required option is selected for the Government collation. If you proforma’d your print collations from the prior year or if you have selected not to print client documents as an option when printing the extension, UltraTax CS may have overwritten the default settings.

  4. Click OK to save your changes.
  5. Click OK to close the 706 Product Information dialog.
