Entering an asset's current-year business use percentage

To enter an asset's current-year business use percentage, perform the following steps.

Note: You can enter the current-year business use percentage only for vehicle and listed property assets.

  1. Open the Asset List window for an activity.
  2. Select the desired asset and click the Modify button.
  3. In the Asset Detail dialog, click the Vehicle/Listed tab.
  4. Do one of the following, depending on the type of asset.
    • For listed property assets, enter the current-year business percentage in the Business use percentage field in the Listed property group box.
    • For vehicle assets, enter the current-year business use percentage in the Business use percentage field in the Vehicle use group box.
  5. Enter any other information for the asset.
  6. Click Done to return to the Asset List window.

Entering an asset's prior-year business use percentage

To enter an asset's prior-year business use percentage, perform the following steps.

Note: You can enter prior-year business use percentages only for vehicle and listed property assets.

  1. Open the Asset List window for an activity.
  2. Select the desired asset and click the Modify button.
  3. In the Asset Detail dialog, choose Tasks > Prior Depreciation Comparison.
  4. In the Prior Depreciation Comparison dialog, enter the prior-year business use percentages in the Asset's business use percentages group box.
  5. Click the Save Use Percentages, then Exit button.
  6. Click Done to return to the Asset List window.
