Question

How do I enter taxable interest and dividend income?

Answer

Usually, taxable interest and dividends do not need a code entered in the Type code field of the Interest Income and Dividend Income statement dialogs. Codes in this field represent various other types of interest or dividend income taxation issues, other than being 100 percent taxable. Since blank is the default behavior, most items that you enter do not have any special coding requirements.
