Question

Where do I enter information for the domestic production activities deduction?

Answer

For tax years that begin after December 31, 2017, the domestic production activities deduction (DPAD) is repealed. Use the fields in the Domestic Production Activities Deduction (DPAD) section in Screen K1-3 to enter information from a passthrough entity. The Method for computing qualified production activities income field in Screen K-3 must be completed before the domestic production activities deduction information will be used in the return.

Note: When determining amounts related to the domestic production activities deduction for partnership returns, UltraTax CS does not use information on any input screen other than Screens K-3 and K1-3.
