To generate Form IT-40X, first print preview the return before entering or changing any data. Next, on Screen INAmend, in the Separate Filings folder, mark the Transfer original information checkbox to transfer information from the originally filed Form IT-40, Form IT-40PNR, or Form IT-40RNR to Screen INAmend. The information on Screen INAmend is used to calculate Form IT-40X.
Note: You must also enter an explanation of changes at the top of Screen INAmend in order to calculate Form IT-40X.
