The information included on the annual report must meet certain specifications or it will not be processed and returned to the taxpayer with a letter. The following are required data entry:

• The Name of the LLC must be exactly the registered name.
• The registered agent must reside in North Carolina.
• The street address of the registered office must be in North Carolina.
• The registered office must be a street address, not a post office box.
• The principal office address should be the physical location of the company, it may not be a post office box.
• The mailing address of the registered agent and the principal office may be a post office box.
