New (tax) year, new help!

Fixed Assets and UltraTax CS 2023 help is now on Help and Support. We're still moving articles, but you can find most content for the 2023 tax year there. Continue using the Help & How-To Center for tax years 2022 and older.

Complete the following steps to log status events for the open UltraTax CS client. You can sort client lists in the Open Client, Select Clients to Print, Client Status, and Select Clients for Report dialogs using logged status events. You can also generate a Client Status Report that will list the logged events for the selected client(s).

  1. Choose File > Open Client and select the client for whom you want to log status events.
  2. Choose Utilities > Client Status to open the Client Status dialog.
  3. In the Log Event tab, click the buttons in the Events list for the event(s) you want to log for the current client. The event(s) you select will appear in the Event History list on the right along with the date and time at which it was logged and the user who logged each event.
  4. Once you have logged all desired events for the current client, click Done to close the Client Status dialog.
Tips
  • To modify the date and/or time an event was logged, highlight the event in the Event History list, then click the Edit button. Enter the desired date and/or time in the Date and/or Time fields.
  • To remove an event that you previously logged for a client, highlight that event in the Event History list, then click the Delete button.
  • To configure status warnings for specific events, use the Discourage Access button (opened from the Setup > Office Configuration > Status tab). You can also set these warnings to require the master password or honor security privileges to open the client.
