2018 UltraTax CS
New (tax) year, new help!
Fixed Assets and UltraTax CS 2023 help is now on Help and Support. We're still moving articles, but you can find most content for the 2023 tax year there. Continue using the Help & How-To Center for tax years 2022 and older.
UltraTax CS 2018 is available to download on November 19, 2018. You can download the program from the Downloads page of the CS Professional Suite website. The initial release is designated by a "1.0" version number. The available products included with version 2018.1.0 are:
- UltraTax CS 1040 / 1041 / 1065 / 1120 / 990-US for Organizer and Proforma
- UltraTax CS 706-US
UltraTax CS version 2018.2.0 will be available via CS Connect mid-December. The available products included with version are:
- Update to UltraTax CS 1041-US will be available the week of December 10, 2018.
- Updates to UltraTax CS 1040 / 1120 / 1065 / 990-US will be available the week of December 17, 2018.
- UltraTax CS 709-US initial release will be available the week of December 17, 2018.
- UltraTax CS 706-States will be available the week of December 17, 2018.
The remaining 2018 Ultratax CS 5500-US, State, City, and PPT products will be available via CS Connect the week of January 2-7, 2019. Data Mining will be released the week of January 29, 2019
UltraTax CS 2290-US is tentatively scheduled for June 2019.
Notes
- You only need to install UltraTax CS one time. You do not need to download and re-install the entire application to install any subsequent updates. See Installation Instructions for 2018 UltraTax CS.
- After installing the initial release from our website, UltraTax CS automatically downloads and installs subsequent releases and updates for your licensed products via CS Connect Background Services, which is enabled by default.
- If you have disabled CS Connect Background Services, you can install updated applications by opening CS Connect and downloading and applying releases and updates manually
- In many cases, the releases of UltraTax CS applications (especially states) are contingent on the federal or state governments and taxing authorities. Tax law changes, pending legislation, and the approval of updated tax forms can all impact a release date. For details regarding federal and state UltraTax CS releases, click the Product Releases link on left side of the UltraTax CS Home Page, then hover your mouse pointer over a state application's checkbox to view the planned release date.
