New (tax) year, new help!
Fixed Assets and UltraTax CS 2023 help is now on Help and Support. We're still moving articles, but you can find most content for the 2023 tax year there. Continue using the Help & How-To Center for tax years 2022 and older.
By default, the preparer block information that prints on all returns and extensions is the firm information you provided in your licensing agreement. (This information appears in the Firm tab accessed via Setup > System Configuration. Note that your security configuration might require you to enter the master password and click OK before you can open the System Configuration dialog.)
The options for changing the preparer block information depend on what type of return you are preparing and application setup you have.
- Users who are preparing a PRP (per-return-pricing) return can print PRP information in the preparer block or print the return with the preparer block left blank.
- Users who are preparing a personal return and therefore do not want the firm information printed in the preparer block can have UltraTax CS print "This tax return prepared by a non-paid preparer" in the preparer block.
- For firms that would like to manually sign their returns, they can remove a preparer's signature from all returns by doing the following:
- Go to Setup > Office Configuration > Preparer tab
- Select the preparer and click Edit
- Uncheck the Print Preparer's name in signature block where allowed box in the Print Options section
- Click OK
