New (tax) year, new help!

Fixed Assets and UltraTax CS 2023 help is now on Help and Support. We're still moving articles, but you can find most content for the 2023 tax year there. Continue using the Help & How-To Center for tax years 2022 and older.

Use the Data Sharing tab to enable the data sharing feature, as well as to enter TINs that are associated with multiple addresses. The data sharing feature will prompt you with all of the choices associated with the multiple address TIN the first time that TIN is entered. Once you make your choice, you will not be prompted again when you enter another client that has the same TIN with a different address, for example. If you do not enter multi-address TINs here, you will always be prompted with data that is more recent when you open a client.

To open this tab, choose Setup > Office Configuration, and click the Data Sharing tab.

Fields & buttons

  • If you mark the "Require a password to display SSNs" checkbox on the Security tab in the Setup > Security dialog, the Allow use of the data sharing feature checkbox is cleared automatically.
