UltraTax CS Ideas Community

Alerts and notices

The UltraTax CS Ideas Community is a forum in which you can share ideas with other users and provide feedback and suggestions to our development team. The scope, feasibility, and popularity of a suggestion will impact whether it will be implemented in a future release of UltraTax CS.

Joining the UltraTax CS Ideas Community

  1. To join the UltraTax CS Ideas Community, choose Help > UltraTax CS Ideas Community to open the Ideascale webpage in your browser.
  2. Click the Register link at the top of the screen.
  3. Enter your email address, mark the checkbox to indicate that you agree with the terms of service, and click the Register button.

Please allow 1 - 2 business days for us to process your request. After we approve your registration, you will receive an email message through which you must verify your account and then create a password.

After you create your password, please update your profile name for the ideas community as explained below.

Setting your profile name for the UltraTax CS Ideas Community

By default, your profile name in the ideas community is the user name portion of your email address. For example, if your email address is paulparnes@gmail.com, your profile name is paulparnes.

Please update your profile name to include your first name and the name of your firm; for example: John - Parnes, Velano, Martinez CPA.

  1. In the Ideas Community, click your name in the upper-right corner and choose Profile.

  2. In the Name field, enter your first name and the name of your firm.
  3. Click the Save Changes button.

Joining multiple ideas communities

If you already registered for an ideas community and you want to join additional communities, we recommend that you enter the same email address when you register for each community. This will enable you to access all ideas communities through a single login and password.

To learn how to join other ideas communities, see the appropriate topic.

Internal notes

If email messages are not being received when a password reset is requested, this is often because the customer's spam filter is capturing the email or their email provider is blocking email notifications from ideascale.com altogether.  In the case where the customer cannot find these email messages in their spam folder, the member's profile will usually have an unverified email status because they never received the verification email message that must be responded to before they can receive the link to their profile to set a password in the first place.  AT&T (@att.net) and other companies that AT&T have acquired fall into this category.

If the customer is not receiving password reset emails, the only way to recover the account will be to ask IdeaScale Support to change the Primary email address that is associated with their member profile. Clicking on the IdeaScale logo in the upper-left portion of the title bar and then choosing LiveChat from the IdeaScale website will connect them to a live support person at IdeaScale where they can describe the situation and ask that they change the email address.
