CS Connect: When are CS Professional Suite updates applied in Virtual Office CS or SaaS

If you run CS Professional Suite applications in the Virtual Office CS or SaaS environment, updates are applied the night after or before the release of the CS Connect update depending on the product being updated. See below for product specific information.

Accounting CS and Practice CS

Accounting CS and Practice CS updates will be applied on the Virtual Office and SaaS environments the night before the release of the CS Connect update.

Example:

The update will be applied to Virtual Office and SaaS at night during the server reboot. The CS Connect update is released the following day.

All other CS Professional Suite applications

Applications such as UltraTax CS, FileCabinet CS, and Fixes Assets CS will receive updates on the Virtual Office or SaaS environment the day after the release of the CS Connect update.

Example:

If a CS Connect update is released prior to 3:00 p.m., the update will be applied that night and the updated applications will be available through your portal the following day. If the update is released after 3:00 p.m., the update will be applied the following night.

Server reboot

Updates are applied at night to avoid disrupting your firm’s daily work, and we test the updates in the Virtual Office CS or SaaS environment before updating the applications.

If you are working through the night you may receive a warning prompt saying, "SaaS/VO servers need to be rebooted in 5 minutes in order to perform important updates.  Please save your work and logout."  Once you log out, you can relaunch the programs and start a new session on a different server that may have already updated.
