Uploading and downloading data via Secure Data Exchange

When working with data conversions or with Support, you may need to transfer large sets of data to and from Thomson Reuters. If you have been directed to upload or download data using Secure Data Exchange, follow the directions below.

Uploading

First, prepare the data as directed by the Support Representative (for example, Practice CS databases should be compacted, and UltraTax CS conversion data should be zipped).

To upload the prepared data, follow these steps:

  1. Go to cs.tr.com/myaccount.
  2. Log in. Show screen

  3. In the Private Communication Portal section, click the Click here link. Show screen

  4. Click Choose File.
  5. Navigate to and select the file you wish to upload.
  6. Once the file has been selected, click Upload. The file will now be listed under the Uploaded Files section.

Do not mark Exchange Complete, as this will close the exchange and delete all data.

Downloading

To download the available data, follow these steps:

  1. Go to cs.tr.com/myaccount.
  2. Log in. Show screen

  3. In the Private Communications Center section, click the Click Here link. Show screen

  4. In the Uploaded Files section, click the link with the name of the file.
  5. Choose Save.
  6. Select a location for the file and Save.

Note: Once you have downloaded the files and you no longer need to keep the Secure Data Exchange open, mark the box Exchange Complete and click the Exchange Complete button. This will close the Secure Data Exchange and delete any files that were uploaded there.
