After July 12, 2022, Microsoft will no longer support SQL Server 2012 or earlier. Therefore, as of the v.2022.2.0 Accounting CS release, scheduled for late June 2022, your firm must have SQL Server 2014 or higher installed on the servers that run Accounting CS. See Discontinued support for Microsoft SQL Server 2012 for details and steps you can take to continue using Accounting CS without interruption.

Note: This change does not affect firms using Accounting CS on Virtual Office or Software as a Service (SaaS).

Accounting

  • We have updated the Export Client Data Wizard for tax exports to Lacerte, ProSystem fx, and ProSeries for the 2021 tax year.
  • We have updated the Tax Code Listing PDF for the 2021 tax year.

Reports

  • We have updated the Tax Code Worksheet accounting report for the 2021 tax year.

Note: If your firm has modified the predefined version of a report, Accounting CS will not overwrite your existing report with an updated version. If this is the case, you will need to make the necessary changes to your customized report manually, or you will need to restore the latest predefined version using the Report Designer. To do the latter, select the report from the Reports List pane in the Report Designer and then choose File > Restore Default.

General - Payroll

  • We have added the ability to set the entity type for payroll-only clients. Details
