Accounting CS Payroll, for live payroll processing

The following changes have been made for the live payroll processing features specific to Accounting CS Payroll.

  • Accounting CS now integrates with WorkforceHUB (powered by SwipeClock), a cloud-based human resources and employee engagement solution that simplifies the employee onboarding process and allows employees access to their payroll documents (e.g. pay stubs, W-2s, 1099s, 1095-Cs) while avoiding the need to manually import or export information between Accounting CS and WorkforceHUB. You can learn more about this new integration from the WorkforceHUB integration overview.
  • We have addressed an issue that prevented the payee name from being included in the Positive Pay file created for impound bank accounts when using the Citizens with Payee Name format.
  • For every release, be sure to check the Updates for payroll tax rates, limits, and minimum wage rates (year to date) article to stay on top of changes that may affect your firm and clients.

Payroll compliance

  • Georgia. The Georgia Department of Labor has reduced the Administrative assessment rate to 0.06%, effective January 1, 2019. Accordingly, the Administrative assessment rate now defaults to 0.06% in the Unemployment Rate dialog (accessed via the Payroll Taxes tab of Setup > Clients screen) when new clients are added and when new unemployment rate records are added to existing clients.
  • North Carolina. We have addressed an issue that prevented the line 17 amount from being calculated on Form NC-3.
