COVID-19 changes

Accounting CS Payroll, for live payroll processing

In addition to any changes made for general payroll features listed above for after-the-fact payroll processing, the following changes have been made for the live payroll processing features specific to Accounting CS Payroll.

Payroll compliance

  • We have added the ability to create multiple Form 1099-NEC internet files for the same client in the Actions > Process Internet/Magnetic Files screen. For more information, see Processing 1099 forms. (Idea Incubator #2000)
  • California. We have added state-specific Form 1094-C/1095-C internet files for California. For more information, see California Minimum Essential Coverage Information Reporting External link or Processing 1094-C and 1095-C forms.
  • Kentucky. We have added the Semimonthly checkbox as an available frequency selection for the Reconciliation form type to the Actions > Process Payroll Tax Forms screen and the Actions > Edit Payroll Tax Forms screen.     Note: Additional updates to the Accounting CS program interface will be made on a release tentatively scheduled for March 25, 2021.

Updates for payroll tax forms, tax agents, and new hire files

To search for a specific state, locality, form, or file in one of the sections listed below, follow these steps.

  1. Expand the text for the section by clicking the link (such as Payroll tax forms added) or click the Show expandable text link at the top of this article to expand all text in the article.

  • Payroll tax forms added

    We have added the following forms, internet files, and electronic files.

    • California – Form 1094-C/1095-C internet file
  • Payroll tax forms updated

    We have updated the following forms, internet files, and electronic files to the latest versions available from the agencies. Those forms marked with an asterisk (*) were released via an alert between application updates, not as part of the current release.

    State

    • Colorado – Form DR 1094*
    • Delaware – Form WTH-TAX*
    • Illinois – Form IL-501*
    • Maine – Form W-2 Copy 1 internet file now includes a carriage return/line feed after each record in the file.

    • Ohio local
      • City of Cincinnati Income Tax Division – Form W-3 (2020)
    • Pennsylvania local
      • City of Philadelphia – Form PHILADELPH_Annual (2020)
