For a local or network installation only

CS Connect, which is automatically included with a local or network installation of the application, is easy to use, generally requires no setup, and provides a convenient and economical way to complete the following tasks.

  • Download initial and updated application licenses for your firm.
  • Download application updates and user bulletins.
  • Receive timely information from Thomson Reuters.

To open the CS Connect dialog, choose File > CS Connect.


  • If you access Accounting CS through Virtual Office CS or via Software as a Service (SaaS), you do not need to use CS Connect.
  • To use CS Connect from your local or network installation of the application, you must have a standard internet connection (such as DSL, cable modem, T1, and so on).
  • The default communication settings are correct for most connection types. However, users who connect to our network of secure data centers using a dial-up internet service provider or a proxy server should review the communication settings. For more information, see Setting CS Connect communication options.

CS Connect operating hours

Our network of secure data centers accept CS Connect calls during all hours of the week. In the rare event that system maintenance is required, it will be performed between 3:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. eastern time.
