If the MICR line is missing from your checks or printing in the wrong font, use the following steps to correct the situation.

Try printing a check after each step. If unsuccessful, move on to the next step. If the MICR line prints correctly, there is no need to continue following the steps.

  1. Reboot your computer.
  2. Reinstall Accounting CS on your computer.
    1. Choose Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features.
    2. After the list loads, click on Accounting CS and then click Uninstall.
    3. Browse to your WinCSI folder, then Accounting CS, then DESKTOP. Double-click the SETUP.EXE file and follow the prompts to install Accounting CS.
    4. Reboot your computer when prompted.
  3. Install the Windows fonts file from another working computer with Accounting CS installed on it (contact your IT Professional for more help with this step).
  4. Verify that the check layout is correct.
    1. In Accounting CS, choose File > Layout Designer.
    2. Double-click the check layout you are using.
    3. Click on the MICR line variable [VENDORACTIVITY.CHECK.MICRLINE] - if it is not there, insert it from the Variables menu.
    4. Choose Format > Text and verify that the Font field says CSI MICR E13B V2
  5. Verify printer properties.
    1. Choose Start > Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
    2. Right-click on your printer and choose Properties.
    3. On the Advanced tab, mark or unmark the Enable advanced printing features checkbox.
    1. Choose Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Printers.
    2. Right-click on your printer and choose Properties.
    3. On the Advanced tab, mark or unmark the Enable advanced printing features checkbox.
  6. Try a different printer or print driver. Contact your IT Professional for more help with this step.
